Authors Note: I don't own Supernatural. *gasp* I'm just using them for my own evil purposes. Sorry Kripke.
Driving. Looking out the window and watching the world fly by. That was one of the things I missed the most while at college. The feeling of freedom, of going where ever I wanted, even if the music was kindof crappy. It didn't matter, though. All that matter was that the Impala was going too fast on a back country road and I had my brother by me, even if he was calling me a bitch.
We pulled up to a near-forgotten gas station, and I went inside to get us something to eat while Dean started pumping the gas. As I came out with an arm full of junk food and beer, I saw Dean jump slightly and gasp. I immediately ran to him, fearing the worst.
'Dean!' I shouted. Though he didn't turn his head, I knew he had heard me. 'Dean,' I said once I got closer, 'what's wrong?'
'What's that?' he nearly shouted as he pointed at a nearby silver car. I looked at the back and saw the problem.
'Dude, it's just an impala. You know, a 2010 Silver Impala?' I said slowly.
'No. They did NOT remake my baby into a granny car!' he said, shouting right in my ear. He absently stroked the hood of his Impala as he talked. It didn't help that a gray-haired 'granny' came out about that time and got in the car and drove off.
I sighed as I tried to explain it. 'Most cars get remade at some point, Dean. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.'
'No. I refuse to believe that was an Impala. It's like calling a windigo a vampire. It's just not right!' Dean replied, being stubborn as always.
'Well,' I said, smirking slightly, 'they do have some things in common.'
'Sam,' Dean said in that warning voice.
'Okay, okay. Let's just get to Bobby's. He'll kill us if we don't check in soon,' I grumbled, getting back into the car.
As we started driving again, I got on my phone and called Bobby.
'Hey Bobby, could you help me? I'm trying to convince Dean…yes, it has to do with the car…well, no, he's not trying to sell it…yeah. Thanks a lot, Bobby. See you later.' I hung up, my mood slightly darkened with Bobby's 'You're on your own' reply. I sighed again. Looking over at Dean, though, and seeing the smirk on his face made me smile again.
