John wandered through this strange land that seemed endless. There were salamanders everywhere for some unknown reason, yet the game being played was total nonsense anyway, so it could be worse. Suddenly, he noticed two of the creatures particularly. It was what seemed to be an adult salamander with a younger one at its side. John then began to recall a Nicolas Cage film in which the main protagonist is reunited with his loving wife and daughter then presenting the young girl with a stuffed bunny.
Instead of proceeding on with his mission like he was supposed to, he decides that it would be a better idea to reenact the scene with the two salamanders in place of the wife and the daughter, Casey. He grabs the small rabbit, which he had received as a birthday present, and hands it to the small salamander. The salamander looks over the stuffed toy then hugs it tightly, causing John to begin to cry. He grabs the two salamanders and pulls them into a hug while bursting into tears. The salamanders seem completely confused and unaware of the meaning of this, but just stand there emotionlessly.
Behind the Scenes…
As the strange man watches the monitor, which shows our young hero, all he can ask himself is what is wrong with this species. He continues with questions such as "Is this the best that Earth could provide?" and "Is there something seriously wrong with this one?" He tries to command John to stop it, but John continues to sit there with the salamanders blubbering like an idiot. The man begins to bash his head off the keyboard as John holds the loving embrace of his "wife" and "daughter".
