I could spend all my nights
Touching the silk chocolate of her hair
She can't laugh as she did
When we were children
But when she does it is the music
Of petals on the breeze
Sometimes when we kiss
It is not me she thinks about
But when it is
Her kisses leave sunshine on my lips
The sheets rustle beneath us
Beneath our friction
As we become one
And her breathless moans
Harmonize with my heartbeat
We lay back with fingers intertwined
Holding her strong hand
Makes me feel so safe
I gaze into her endless eyes
The warm color of the acorns
We once played with
Her soft bangs tickle my skin
As our foreheads gently meet
I watch the smile raise the corners of her mouth
'Together forever' I murmur with my own
Internally I pray
It's not just for tonight
