My first story! Just a quick Shadmay one-shot I wrote a little after 1 in the morning...
Love Before Death
They stood a few feet from each other, not believing their eyes. Amy's eyes were filled with tears as she gazed at the wounded black and red hedgehog. Shadow starred at the pink hedgehog in front of him, not believing she was still alive. Amy's voice broke the silence. "Shadow. "Her voice was cracked and weak. She was about to burst into tears. She ran to him. He had his arms wide open as she wrapped her arms around him ,as he did her.
"Amy, I'm so grateful that your still alive. If you had died, I would've never forgiven myself. "Amy looked up into his ruby-red eyes. Tears fell down her face, and down her muzzle. "Oh Shadow.." She buried her head into his chest fur."...I was so scared! Please don't leave me again! "The Ultimate Life form looked down at the crying female. "I promise I wont leave you, Amy, I love you." He kissed the top of her head. She looked up at him. Slowly, their lips meant. It was their first kiss. They pulled away, begging for oxygen. Amy smiled. "I love you to."
Suddenly, Shadow pushed her away, and wrapped his arms around his chest. Amy looked at him with concern. Shadow was on his knees. He withdrew a hand from where it was placed and showed Amy the blood. She gasped. Amy went to him, and removed the blanket wrapped around her neck, and placed it on his back. He coughed up blood. Amy fell to her knees, and Shadow fell into her arms. "Shadow, please don't leave me like this!" She pleaded with him. His eyes were only half open. "Amy, I.. love you. I'm.. sorry. "Those were the last words that came from his mouth. His eyes went blank, his heart stopped, and the hand that was placed on Amy's cheek fell into his puddle of blood. "Shadow.. come back...please come back!" Amy buried her head into his quills and cried.
