Kaylee is girl who likes engines and a girl who likes sex and she's not ashamed of either.
The first time she was in this engine room the Captain walked in on her mid-sex with Serenity's then (juicily muscular) mechanic and that were a bit embarrassing, but it were more embarrassing for the Captain having hired a mechanic that didn't know his way around an engine than for her to be having sex with him, 'cause that he sure did know his way around.
Still, when Simon buries his face where her neck joins her shoulder (with warm breath and damp kisses) and she sees River's face staring down at them, Kaylee can't help but mouth 'go away'. She shouldn't be watching (and definitely not her brother) and this is – this is –
