Author's Note: Right, I hope this fits the bill of that Hotel Lobby contest, especially since I forgot most of the rules and I wrote this in under ten minutes. Heh heh…also answering to an ancient challenge for the ultimate Crack!Pairing. Of course there are tons more of the 'Ultimate' but this is just a start. Hurrah to the Crack!Pairings!

If Only…
She can't keep her eyes off of him.
He stood out like a neon green sheep amongst the creamy white ones, all smiles and good cheer as he strutted through the revolving doors into the hotel like he owned the place. He positively glowed and that was the difference. She could think of no other person in her life who could garner so much attention upon oneself.
And he was that shining example, the one exception no one could deny or avoid. The way he lorded over everyone in the lobby, his piercing blue eyes casually passing over all the heads even though he was shorter than most of the adults in the massive room, astonished her.
She watched him head over to the marble registration desk, arms crossed behind his head, and sank into the maroon couch she was sitting on, to contemplate and wonder. Who was he? Should she approach him? Should she ask who he is? But what if he thought her weird, or crazy? This was the first and only time she'll ever see him, so should she care to walk up to him and ask?
The man at the desk was handing the brunet a card key, and now the teenager was turning sharply on his heels and walking towards the four gilt elevators, where one would take him to his room. She slid off the couch and quickly followed him, shaking madly all the while. Did she dare? Could she do this? What if she tripped over her feet and landed on him? What if the only words out of her mouth were gibberish? What if she tapped him on the shoulder, then ran away before he could ask who the hell she was? What if he thought she was a stalker?
Oh but she wanted to know who he was! She was so desperate…
They shared the same floor, the fourth floor. The very least she could do was join him in the elevator and ride up to it. She was amazed at the coincidence, thought the gods up there were playing a joke on her or something. And now there was that chime, an elevator had come for them both, and they were going to be the only ones in the gilt elevator, the only teenagers going up to the fourth. She stepped in nervously after him, went straight to a corner as the reflective gold doors slid shut.
Then the teenager looked at her, his blue eyes studious and questioning. To her at least. She nervously brushed a strand of silver hair behind her ear, tried not to look nervous at the same time.
"What floor?" he asked.
His voice was amazing. She stared at him, then shook her head and said, "Fourth."
"Really?"
She nodded.
"Same floor as mine. That's funny."
She smiled slightly in return to his bright grin. Then he turned and stared at the gilt doors, and all the while she studied him and tried to form a mental image of him.
The fourth floor. She followed him out of the elevator. Facing them were two mirrors and two tables, placed there just to make the elevator section of the hotel's fourth floor look nice.
He turned to her and she thought her heart skipped one too many beats. He gave her another smile and a little wave.
"See you later."
She sighed as the teenager then walked off in the opposite direction of where her room was. What was the use? She'll never have the courage to speak up and ask him who he was.
It would be a long time before Fuu forgot the teenager who walked o so boldly into the hotel lobby.

Author's Endnote: Guess the one-sided couple. Thoughts? This is a weird oneshot, so I'm kind of dissatisfied with it but…
Arigatou gozaimas'.
