Author's note: Post Annihilated. The scene with Kathleen (I think it was Kathleen anyway), yeah, that never happened. By the way, who else is mad at elliot for sleeping with Kathy?? Ok, I'm done. Enjoy!

"Thanks for letting me come visit the kids." Elliot said to his ex-wife, Kathy, as he walked into what used to be their bedroom. Kathy nodded.

"No problem. Tough case?" Elliot nodded, but didn't say anything. Kathy gave a small sigh. He never talked about cases, which was probably one of the many reasons for the divorce, considering his work was his life. Kathy stared at him for a second before speaking.

"Elliot, what are you still doing here?" She asked. Elliot frowned.

"What do you mean?

"Elliot, you and I both know this marriage is dead. You're in love with Olivia, I can tell. And don't try to deny it, or I'll kick your ass. Maybe you won't admit it to yourself yet, but anyone who's around you two long enough can tell you two love each other." Kathy said bluntly. Elliot just stood there for a second, unsure of what to say. Finally, he spoke.

"Kathy, you know I never cheated on you. In 20 years, I never once cheated on you."

"I know Elliot. Now go, find Olivia, and tell her how you feel." Kathy replied. Elliot smiled.

"Thanks Kathy. Tell the kids I'll see them next weekend." Elliot grinned, grabbing his coat. Kathy nodded and watched him walk out the door before picking up the phone and dialing a number.

"Olivia? It's Kathy…"

Half an hour later, Elliot sat in his car outside of Olivia's apartment, trying to figure out what he was going to say.

'Olivia, I love you.' No, that won't work. 'Liv, I love you so much.' Damn, that's the same as the last one. Screw this, I'll just wing it.

Elliot got out of his car and the buzzer. Olivia's voice came over the intercom.

"Who is it?"

"It's Elliot. Let me up Liv."

"How come you didn't use your key?"

"I forgot it. Now come on 'Livia, let me up. I'm freezing my ass off down here!"

Olivia laughed and let him up. A few minutes later she heard a knock on her door.

"It's open El!" she called from the kitchen. She got two beers out of the fridge and went into her living room, where Elliot had already situated himself on her couch. She handed him one of the beers and sat down on her couch, facing him.

"Thanks." He said quietly.

"You ok Ellliot? That case today really seemed to shake you up." Olivia asked. Elliot smiled.

"I'm always ok with you Liv." Olivia felt like her heart had just skipped a beat. If only he meant it the way I wish he would. Olivia thought. Unfortunately, her heart and her mind weren't working in sync.

"What do you mean El?" Elliot took Olivia's hands in his and looked into her eyes.

" I love you Liv. I love you so much it hurts. I think I've loved you since the day I met you. I just couldn't find a way to tell you. Look, if you don't feel the same way, then ok. I just wanted you to know that." Elliot told her. Olivia's chocolate brown eyes were filled with tears.

"Please say something 'Livia." Elliot begged. Olivia smiled and took his face in her hands. She gently pressed her lips to his and kissed him.

"No," she whispered, "I'd rather kiss you." Elliot grinned and kissed her back fiercely. When they pulled apart, Olivia spoke.

"Hey El?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you."

"I love you too Liv. I love you too."
