Was it worth it?

Sumarary: An one-shot. As Peter dies he ponders if beteryaing James and Lilly was worth it. Mention of Harry/Hermione pairing.
A.N. This is my first Harry Potter story. It poped into my head while I was taking a shower earlier. So Idecied to write it. Let me know what you think of it.
Peter "Wormtail" Patagrew was dying. He knew that. He had dueled with Harry and lost, a reducto to the chest had sealed his fate.
He could have sworn he had seen satisafition in Harry's eyes as the curse hit him.
He then went to deal with his master. As he lay dying he couldn't help but wonder if betraying James and Lilly was worth it.
He rembered the happy times he had spent with James, Remus, Sirius and Lilly. His freinds always cared about him.
Sure they have teased him ocasionally. But they cared about his fellings.
He also rembered the not so happy times with the dark lord. The man hated him with a passion.
He always cruioed Peter if something went wrong, which because of Harry and his mudblood lover Hermione, it usely did.
Was it worth it ? In all honesty, it wasn't. He had been forced to stay as a rat for 13 years.
He raised his right hand, pale moonlight glinting off it. He had given his hand for his master and his master constently critized him.
Peter's vision grew darker, he knew he was going to die soon . As he took what was surely his final breath he wished he could undo it.
As he exhaled for the last time, Peter died with nothing but regrert.
