Chapter One: Red as the Rive
The shadows of my past fallows me along into my nightmares, I can still hear my family's screams. Five Years, since I've heard the joyous laughter of the flock.
I feel as if I have failed them, I feel as if I could have done something for them. I was supposed to protect them, I wonder if they could ever forgive me.
About five years ago my family and I went against an evil organization called the school, which was a part of a bigger picture, they were called INTEX. The school, Isn't what you think this place was filled with scientists, who experimented on people splicing their DNA with those of the animal genes. Some were failures, while others were successful. What they did in there still brings shivers down my spine so I will not go into details about it.
We fought, we fought our hardest, but it wasn't enough unknown to us they created a super virus. This virus would eat at our blood bit by bit. The first to go was Gazzy, then it was my sweet little Angel, Nudge, Iggy, and lastly they took the last of my family Fang. Oh how many times I wished to join them, for some reason the virus didn't affect me. It did the opposite, it bonded with my DNA.
Sigh I need to stop dwelling in the past, fang would tell me to keep thinking of the future to never look back. For weeks I tracked down the people who took them, and I got my revenge.
Once again I sighed shaking out of my thoughts, and looked out of my small window apartment, and saw the Cherry Blossoms in their full bloom. I loved living here it is so quiet here, I can feel myself relaxing, I wished they were here to enjoy this beautiful country.
Looking back down into the newspaper I began searching, searching for something that would keep me from getting board and end up hurting someone.
Let's see cooking… nope I may have gotten better at cooking but I can't say I that would be a good idea. Hum let's see secretary meh, I'm not very organized, lawyer just no, Ghost Hunter, cat sit-err, wait did that say ghost hunter? Looking again it very much did.
It seems I found what I'm looking for I must give them a call.

Mai's pov
It's been five years since SPR was re-instated here and I was given my job back, I have to say I felt lonely when my family split for that five year period. It was just like when my mom and dad passed, it was very depressing. Looking at the clock I saw it was 12 o'clock, it's been two hours since Naru called for tea. Getting out of my desk chair where I was putting up files, and began to head to the kitchen to place the kettle on the stove.
When it was done I began to fill up Naru's tea cup along with Lin's cup. I began to head to his office and open his door when he called for tea. I chuckled "you're a little late there Naru ""hum" silence filled the room once again when Naru spoke up. " Mai I want you set up the desk next to you someone has answered our want ad, they will be here in an hour or so.
And, if they show up earlier please inform me when they arrive. He then returned typing on his laptop.
"Yes sir" I muttered.
