Butters ran straight to his room as soon as he arrived home. Once again, Eric Cartman had bullied him. Of course, Kenny had help him get away from Cartman, but the hurtful Cartman had said to him still cut through him like a knife. He walks over to his rather large mirror and looks at his reflection. He sees himself: a 14 year-old boy with yellow-blonde hair, blue eyes, and a feminine build.
Is this who he was supposed to be for the rest of his life? A boy who would be bullied on a regular basis who couldn't defend himself and had to have Kenny defend him? He didn't mind that Kenny saved him from Cartman, really he didn't, but he didn't feel like this was who he truly supposed to be. He always thought there was someone in him that wanted more than anything to be allowed to shine and show the world who they truly were. He felt like he was wearing a mask, fooling the entire world that he was happy, but really he wasn't. He felt truly lost in this world.
He looked in the mirror again, still seeing himself. Who was this person staring back at him? Yes, it was merely his reflection, but it wasn't his true reflection of who he was inside. He longed to be the person who was inside him, but couldn't, fearing he would hurt his family. He still wasn't meant to play this role in life, he knew he was supposed to be something else. He looked down at his hands to see how small they were- like a girl's. He always thought he was more of a girl on the the inside instead of a boy, he wish he could start living like a girl but he couldn't do it. He'd never get a sex change operation, but he still wished to look and act like a normal girl would.
He looked back up in the mirror but didn't see himself, but a girl version of himself, with long blonde hair tied in two low pigtails with green bows and a larger bow sitting in the center of her head. She also wore a simple white dress and was as flat as Butters. He started crying and so did the girl in the mirror. The girl wanted to be let out into the world, but feared people knowing who she truly was.
Butters placed his left hand on the mirror and the girl did the same, causing their hands to appear to be touching. He swore he could actually feel the girl's hand, how soft and feminine it truly was. The girl is still crying but opens her mouth and says, "This is who you're truly meant to be. Me, Marjorine. Please, let me into the world, please." the girl begged him.
"I can't. My parents, my friends. No one will love me." Butters told the girl.
"Kenny would." was all that the girl said before Butters blinked his eyes and the girl was gone.
Kenny. He always cared for Butters and didn't seem to care what he did as long as he was happy. Butters looked at himself once more and smiled. He knew who he was going to do.
A year later, a girl walked into Butters' bedroom. She was about 15 years old and had her hair in ponytails. She was wearing a pure white dress as she was going to a dance that evening. She looked into the mirror and said, "I'm finally out in the world and loving it. Thank you Kenny for letting out who I truly am: Marjorine."
