Sidney's P.O.V
Beep. Beep. Beep.
I rolled over. Roughly pressing the off button on my alarm. I glanced at the clock.
5:30 am
" Just kill me now. I grumbled, getting our of bed.
" I could do it you know." I quickly looked up startled.
Standing in my doorway was Kimber. She smirked. " You really are easy to scare in the mornings." She laughed. Then walked over to my desk chair. Her black oxford heels clicking on the wood floor each step.
Taking a seat she looked at me, and said " I really don't understand why you even bother sleeping. We don't need to." It was a topic her, Carlin and Whittley always pressed with me. And I always had the same answer, " because I like sleep."
She sighed, running her hand through her waist length dark curls. " Whatever you say, " She stood up, " Get ready. Quick. We all need to talk before we go." Then she left the room. The clicking of her shoes diminished as she walked down the hall.
" GAH!" I yelled exasperated.
Quickly I dashed around my room. Getting ready. It took me about 5 minutes all together. That is one nice thing about the inhuman speed.
My black hair hung to my shoulders, perfectly straight. A small amount of black eyeliner lined my blue eyes. And my flawless skin was as perfect as ever. I loved not aging - I was stuck at 15 forever. The nice thing was that I could at least pass as 17. And without aging your body stops producing oils. So my skin literally had no flaw. That was the same for Whittley, Kimber and Carlin.
I sat on my bed and laced up my combat boots. They were pared with denim skinny jeans and a 'System of a Down' band tee.
I checked the mirror one last time. Then walked out of the room.
I slowed my pace as I got closer to the staircase. The highlight of my morning was sliding down the banister. I climbed onto it then slid. My balance was perfect so there was no worrying I would fall. The only thing I worried about was Whittley catching me and getting angry.
I made it to the bottom without anyone catching me. Then wandered to the kitchen.
" Morning," Carlin said. I nodded in her direction.
Whittley got up from her seat at the dining table. She walked over to the fridge, and pulled out a pouch of blood, and tossed it to me. I caught it with ease.
"That's the last one. It's your turn to go to the blood bank anyways." I nodded, taking a sip.
" So guys. It's our first day of high school." Kimber said.
" Correction. It's our first day of high school as vampires." Whittley laughed.
