The Water Avatar Book 1: Water

It's been a long time since Sozin's Comet burned through the atmosphere. The heroes have married and now have children. Yue, one of Sokka's daughters, is your average seven year old nonbender. Or is she?

Hi! Here is my first ATLA story. Ihope you like it. If not, all flames can, and will, be sent to Azula. So no flames please. I don't own ATLA, but I do own Yue, and all new characters.

Ch. 1: The test

Yue's P.O.V.

I stood outside, my black hair moving in each breeze. I knew Aunt Katara wanted me inside, but I had to do something first.

"Water," I muttered,"I'm going to move you." I moved my hands up and down, up and down. Suddenly, the water moved in time to my arms"I'm a waterbender. I'm a waterbender!"

"Sokka!" Aunt Katara's voice startled me. I crept towards the window.

"There's nothing wrong with yue being a waterbender!"

"I just want a normal life, without having to worry about becoming a popsicle whenever she gets mad!" I turned away. My dad didn't want me to become a waterbender?

"Yue?" Aunt Katara asked.

"I'm coming." I stepped inside. The bending roon had a pool inside with dark blue cushions circling it.

"Can you try to bend?" I looked down. "I'll try." I tried several times and pretended to fail.

"Too bad, you can go." I went outside: a brown haired girl came up to me.

"How'd it go?" my twin sister asked.

"I can waterbend Kit." I answered.

"But?"

"But Dad and Aunt Katara don't know."

"How?" Kit asked.

"I overheard dad and Aunt Katara arguing. Dad doesn't want a kid that can bend." I said.

"Oh. Are you ever going to tell them?"

"Maybe in a few years, when we're teenagers."

Voila! Remember, please review, and no flames! Adios!
