Furture Trunks

Welcome to a nightmare
Oh it's not mine--
God knows I wish it was
If it was, then maybe I would wake up,
be a time and place.
Where my father and friends still live,
Where my mother's eyes hold joy,
not weareness.

Instaed, I woke to a riven world,
Shattered buildings, broken people,
cripple hope;
nothing else fraves here.

The last of my kind, the last warrior,
Our sad planet's fate is so heavy,
to carry myself.
Mother helps where she can
but her battlefield and mine
are world's apart.

Sometimes my father's blood
burns so ferice and bright within me
that I catch fire--
golden flames, that mark of a true saiyanjin.
I woke that power with rage and sorrow;
I'd give it up in a moment
if it would bring them all back.
But give up war?
Never.

Up there in Heaven--
Can you here me?
Poppa, Gohon-san, Goku-san?

It's okay
I still live--
And while I live, I'll fight.
