"Heya Sasuke! What cha' looking at?" asked Naruto puzzled.
"There's a new ramen shop just down the road. Do want to go check it out?" asked Sasuke.
"Uh-- Sure!"
The hot sun beat down on them. Sweatdrops lightly streamed down their faces. As they walked, they walked closely and it made Sasuke turn light shades of red. Naruto also felt a bit of uneasiness. Simultaneously, they looked away from each other. To break the tension Naruto suggested to go tomorrow or the next day. They parted ways, both a bit disappointed that they weren't together that long. Sasuke slowly walked towards his door and hung his head slightly for the failed confession. Naruto also felt bad at the thought that his love was one-sided. As they lay in bed, the night seemed to long. When they thought about each other it only made it longer while anxiously awaiting the next day.
The next day was just as hot as the last, thus, further prolonging their time together. Neither one of them even bothered to show up that day, and stayed inside their cool, air-conditioned apartments. As the day dragged on, so did their patience. The day after that, Sunday, was nice and warm.
Their happy and excited faces shown when they met each other at the fountain. Naurto eyed a small flower patch near the fountain. Sasuke also saw the same one. They started a sentence, then acknowledged each other to say what they wanted to. After a few awkward seconds, while in unison, they forcefully put a flower in front of each other. Both blushing shades of red like a brand-new bloomed rose, they stated their confession. They then started down the road toward the ramen shop, only for Naruto to stop Sasuke in an alley on the way.
"Uhm-- uh--" Naruto interrupted Sasuke with their first kiss.
Sasuke stood there stunned with his fingers on his lips and eyes wide open. Naruto carried his head slightly down in embarassment. They started walking out of the alley, hand in hand.
"Oh! See? There's the ramen sho-" Naruto again stopped Sasuke with a small peck on the cheek. They both smiled happily and blushed.
"I got cha'.." Naruto said as he chuckled.
"And I've got you.. !" Sasuke said as he hugged Naruto and gave him a kiss.
