Emotions

1. Happiness

Despite how others might have perceived it as somewhat deranged, Lucy liked it when Flare smiled. She preferred it over her melancholy expression.

2. Anger

Flare absolutely depised anyone who even touched or looked at Lucy the wrong way. So when she saw Natsu glare at Lucy when she had taken the last pile of strawberries, Flare pratically attacked the boy with her crimson hair. It took only a kiss on the cheek from Lucy to get her to stop.

3. Embarrassment

Although she never appeared to act like it, Flare was actually very self-conscious when it came to her appearance. Cana had offered to give her a haircut. Flare politely refused but seeing as Cana, for the first time in a while, was fully intoxicated, gave her a haircut anyway. Needless to day, in her room, Flare's eyes shined with tears when she looked at herself in the mirror. Her once flowing sunset red hair was now placed into a short bobcut. Flare covered her face in shame, and didn't notice Lucy coming into her room. She tilted her head and smiled. She gently rubbed her Flare's head, causing the girl to look up. "B-blondie?" Lucy's smile widened. "Your hair looks pretty, Flare-chan." A blush appeared on Flare's cheeks and she sniffled. Maybe she could settle with waiting for her hair to grow out.

4. Fear

There were times when Lucy would become slightly wary of Flare's unpredictable nature. But she often let it go, until now. In her room, with the lights turned off, Lucy shuddered when she heard, "Blondie..." Lucy hid under the covers and shivered. 'That's it, no more sugar for her.'

5. Hurt/Comfort

Although Flare liked it when Lucy often gave her hugs, their physical contact would make Flare wince in pain. The scar on her left shoulder and the Raven Tail guild symbol on her right breast often burned whenever she and Lucy hugged. She tried to be strong, so not as to worry Lucy, but the blond girl always soothed her by a mere kiss of affection, lifting the red-haired girl's spirits.

6. Protective

Lucy was extremely protective of Flare, and was always there to comfort the crimson-haired girl. She and Flare had gotten an opportunity to serve as restaurant waitresses, in order to obtain more money. Lucy thought it was a good idea, while Flare reluctantly agreed. The red-haired girl was never comfortable with meeting new people, but she would try for Lucy. So far, the job had been a success. Until, Flare had tripped over a chair causing the drinks she was carrying to spill over an unknown male. Flare's eyes widened and she got up. "I-I'm sorry, sir." The man suddenly grabbed her by the face. "You little bitc-!" He was cut off when he felt a massive pain in his jewels. Out of nowhere, Lucy had kicked the man in his... happy place. She had heard Flare's yelp when she tripped and rushed over to help her. She also saw the man threatening her, and Lucy felt something fierce in her heart. As the man collapsed in agony, Lucy embraced the shaking Flare. "Are you all right, Flare?" She saw tears come out of Flare's eyes, and Lucy's heart became much more wrenching and warm. She hated seeing Flare cry. She gently rubbed Flare's head and soothed her. "It's all right, you did fine. That guy was just a jerk." Lucy walked Flare over to the bar table and continued to comfort her. She placed a finger under the red-haired girl's cheek and raised it. Lucy gave a reassuring smile and placed a soft loving kiss on Flare's lips. She embraced the girl tighter and whispered in her ear, "I'll always protect you, Flare-chan. I wil always be there for you." She heard Flare sniffle and she smiled.
