Prologue
'Run!
Saya didn't dare take a hand off of the bundle in her arms to wipe away the bangs that blocked her vision. Branches clung to her clothing, as the rain kept pelting her small form.
'Almost there!' An old well was sitting at the edge of the clearing, protected from the rain by a large tree. A few steps away from the well, a kunai flew past her cheek and embedded into the tree. Speeding up, Saya barged through the foliage and ran headlong down the centre of the clearing.
Several shadowy figures were chasing her, doing everything in their power to stop her from reaching the well. Leaping over the rim of the well, a well thrown shuriken hit its mark on her spine. Tumbling down into the depths of well, several more weapons were thrown in her general direction. Curling up around the bundle as the kunai drew nearer, Saya prayed they would make it in time. When the first kunai pierced her arm a soft blue glow appeared .
A feeling of weightlessness told a hold of her as she drifted through time and space. Once Saya landed safely on the other side of the well, she collapsed on the ground, making sure not to squish her precious cargo. 'We're safe.'
Later that day, an old man on his daughter made their way down to the well to find their cat that had decided to wonder off again.
Hearing a cry from the bottom of the well, the daughter peered into the depths of the well.
"Buyo! You better not be down th- ...Dad! Call the ambulance! In a flurry of movements the old man and the daughter ran to get help.
For , instead of finding her cat, she found a woman soaked in her own blood, holding on to a blanket wrapped around a baby.
AN: I know that this is short, but I wanted to test the waters so to speak. Any feedback would a lovely.
