Disclaimer- Sorry. I have absolutely NO ownership toward Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Surrounding me I could feel the fire, the darkness lift. My fists clenched so strongly as my world began to fall.

So much fighting and too much death. I couldn't bear it any longer. My fury ripped my heart out, pulling me through a terrible surge of my ultimate power. My arms pushed straight to my sides and my muscles gleamed with sweat.

Then, I felt my feet gradually rise off the ground. I was no longer Aang: the avatar, but the avatar; the complete and whole being.

The heat of electric blue pulsed at my eyes and tattoos as I became the powerful being I know I am, but don't completely want to be. I raised an arm and lifted the earth off of its prison and thrust it forward and into the now furious Ozai. I then lifted a muscular turquoise wave of water from the closest source and twirled it around my body till I was held high in the sky.

Ozai laughed sinisterly and lifted his arms, then he stomped on the ground as a giant pillar of white and blue fire was aimed towards me.

Air: my native element. It flowed through me within seconds with another tongue of bright flame tied in with it. I quickly mixed it with bulky earthen boulders as the fire came to me. I pushed with all my strength and just in case it wasn't enough, I gathered up my water fortress and poured it forward.

Just as I had hoped, my plan worked. The fact the all four elements silenced the terrible tyrant was good, but also refrained the horrible flame from touching me.

But as I came down from the avatar state, my eyes no longer glowing…I felt it.

Pain gushed throughout my entire body. I fell that day, for Azula fired a lightening bolt at my back just as she did not to long ago. This time though, Katara couldn't help me. She ran out of oasis water.

Azula paid for her actions as Katara trapped her arms and legs in water, pulling her upward as Toph used one of the boulders I had on her and Sokka furiously threw his boomerang.

But all was lost for as they came to me, nothing could be done. Everyone looked devastated. I wished I could make them feel better instead of grieving for me. I wanted to speak, but my breath was taken from me.

Katara knelt down beside me and picked me up, hugging me and crying hysterically as Sokka hugged Katara with a terrible amount of tears in his eyes. Toph sat on the ground beside me, her eyes closed.

No one was strong that day. It was over. The end.

When I was gone, Katara and Sokka stood up along with Toph. They gently embraced each other's shoulder and looked into the darkness of the sky. The stars glistened and shone on their faces. Sokka looked to the moon. Katara, to the ocean, and Toph into the great unknown.

It all happened so fast, no one knew how to get along with their lives, but they would always tell the tale of how they found me in that iceberg, and how it all began. They'd tell the tales of Toph Beifong's old home, and how she came to be free, but as the dawn rose on the horizon…know one thought that it all happened in a heartbeat.
