Trent looked out across the grass towards the tall evergreens standing out past the schools perimeter. The trees wavered slowly in the wind and the fresh dew on the grass still shined from the morning sun.
He always did this, if u asked anyone he was the kind of guy to be calm collective and friendly. He didn't get into fights and he didn't bother much with negative emotions. He had a small group that he could actually call his friends and didn't care about anything like social statuses, material items, or anything that makes anyone above others.
He was staring out the window when the teacher slapped the white board with a ruler. Students around him jumped but he only blinked and turned his head to focus on the lesson. Usually he didn't care what the teacher said so much, he could usually wing it on the test and come out with a decent grade.
The time ticked away slowly as the English teacher rambled on about the topic at hand till the bell finally rang and Trent started getting his stuff together.
"Yo Trent, what's up bro?" Trent's childhood friend Cody yelled from behind him.
"Not much man got done with English and going to math like usual dude." Trent replied.
"Cool, did you see the new chick yet?" asked Cody as they arrived at the door to Trent's math class.
"No I didn't hear about a new girl." Trent replied.
"Dude, she's all dark and Goth I think she's pretty hot." Cody said winking an eye at Trent.
"Cody you say that about every chick." Trent said back to him with a smirk.
"No man I mean it you should go talk to her man you need a girlfriend for once." Cody said poking Trent in the rib.
Cody had been trying to get Trent hooked up with a girl for about 2 years now and Trent found it humorous to watch so he didn't stop him.
"Dude I'll talk to her if you want but I doubt anything will happen. You better run to your class before the bell rings." Trent told Cody as he looked at his watch.
Cody looked up at the clock and his eyes widened and turned on his heel and ran "Alright Trent talk to you at lunch."
Trent shook his head and walked into math class.
