Chapter One: The Question Remains…
It was a nice summer's day. The humidity of the summer's day had little effect on our teen heroes Kim and Ron as they were on a plane ride back to their hometown in Middleton, USA after once again foiling the attempt of global domination of Kim Possible's arch-foe Dr. Drakken and his sidekick Shego. Kim was walking back to her seat after talking to the pilot to see Ron dozing off. Ron felt taking her seat and opened his eyes.
"So, how long till we hit state side?" Ron asked half yawning.
"In a couple of hours" Kim said. "We're about to fly over Costa Rica according to Ricardo."
"Hmm" Ron responded. He relaxed himself a bit more towards the window before he continued. "Well whatever, the Ron-man isn't in any rush to be back home." He placed his arms over his neck and closed his eyes again with a smirk on his face.
"Oh you just don't take Barkin's test," Kim smirked back while chuckling.
"I'm telling you Kim that man…" Ron started to say
"Is out to get you" They both said together. Ron frowned as he looked at Kim.
I know" Kim continued, rolling her eyes. "You've been saying ever since we started high school. Seriously Ron I-" Kim couldn't finish her sentence. There was a loud explosion coming from outside of the plane. The teens both looked at each other, not knowing what to say or do.
"Wh…whhh…at was that?" Ron asked nervously putting his hand near his mouth with the fear in eyes.
Kim didn't respond to Ron. She quickly jumped out of her seat and raced to the cock pit when she saw Ricardo running outside of it himself.
"Ric…." Kim started to say
"Senorita Possible I suggest you exit this plane immediately," was all Ricardo said before he jumped out of the plane. Kim eyes widen. This was becoming a major sitch. She turned to see Ron running her way and calling out for her.
"KP, I think we should bail!" Ron yelled.
"Let's jet!" Kim yelled back grabbing the nearby parachutes. She heard another explosion and rapidly turned around.
"Ron!" Kim yelled.
Middleton USA
Back in Middleton, Mr. Dr. James T. Possible and his twin sons, Jim and Tim Possible were enjoying a nice quiet evening at home. It was a long day for everyone and everyone was doing something to take their minds off of the horrors of everyday life. James was reading the day's issue of The Examiner and the Tweebs were working on some new 'top secret' project. All doing so the in the comforts of the Possible living room. The main house door opened. Mrs. Dr. Ann Possible entered her beloved home with warm welcomes from her family.
"Hi Mom" The tweebs greeted in unison, only bothering to look up for a mere few seconds before going back to their 'top secret' project.
"Hey Honey" Mr. Dr. Possible said putting his newspaper down and gave a kiss to his adoring wife.
"Hello everyone" she greeted. She took off her lab coat and placed it on the coatrack with her purse before taking a seat next to her husband. "Is Kimmie home?" Mrs. Dr. Possible asked.
"No. she must be on another mission" Mr. Dr. Possible said at ease looking back at his newspaper. "But I'm sure she'll be home soon safe and sound. How was work?"
"Same old same old" Mrs. Dr. Possible started to say "Six procedures before lunch and…."
"Hey GWA should be on right now!" Tim said with excitement looking at his watch.
"Cool! I heard that Pain King is going to use some new move on Steal Toe!" Jim said turning on the T.V.
When Jim turned on the T.V and went to the channel GWA would be aired on they didn't get to see the opening for the fight but Summer Gale looking at herself in the compact mirror.
"How's my …" she began to say when she saw that they were live.
"Ugh, I can't stand that woman" Mrs. Dr. Possible mumbled looking at the T.V.
"Hello Middleton, I'm Summer Gale giving you the latest update on our top story. It has been confirmed that the plane that exploded flying over the jungles of Costa Rica this afternoon was indeed the plane in which the world famous teen hero Kim Possible and her sidekick Ron Stoppable were flying as they heading back to Middleton."
Everyone in the room was silent. Mrs. Dr. Possible felt as if her heart was being ripped out her body. She was speechless and most of all frighten. All she could manage to do was focus on what was on the screen and listen to the report. As Summer Gale explained Kim's earlier mission they showed Kim and Ron's recent yearbook pictures. The only thing she could believe in the report was that Kim and Ron saved the world from Drakken's mega weather generator but that Kim, her Kimmie, could have been on that plane was impossible…
Mr. Dr. Possible was in complete horror. He didn't want believe that there could be a slim chance his only daughter could have died on that plane after again saving the world. He reached for Mrs. Dr. Possible hand and brought her closer to him. He couldn't hold back the tears.
The tweebs didn't say a word but just stared at the television screen with tears in their eyes.
"I will keep you updated on this latest story. But as for this reporter and the rest of the world, the question remains: Was Kim Possible and her sidekick able to escape the exploding plane? If they did are they hurt in a God forsaken jungle? I'm Summer Gale reporting."
