Monster Matt
Chapter 1 –
It's six o'clock at the McGuire residence on a Saturday morning. Everybody's still in bed, except one person. He was walking down the stairs to go the kitchen for a big bowl of Sugar O's. He had gotten everything ready and started to make his way to the living room, so he could watch his favorite shows and munch on the delicious cereal like every Saturday. His parents never let him eat in there, but since they were still in bed, the coast was clear.
Ten minutes went by, and he hears a scream from upstairs that makes him get a mischievous smile on his face. His prank must have worked by the angry screaming and stomping feet making their way down the stairs.
There stands an angry blonde girl in front of the TV.
"Move it, sister!" He snapped.
"You know what you did…" She gave him a mean glare and mocked, "Brother!"
He shrugged his shoulders and continued to eat.
His sister just stood there, thinking. "Ohhh, this is getting very annoying!"
By this time, their parents, Sam and Jo were there now.
"Matt!" Jo gasped and looked at her daughter Lizzie. She was covered in water and jelly from head to toe.
"Why does everybody assume I did it?" Matt asked seriously.
"Um, because you didsodo it!" Lizzie yelled.
"Nu-huh!" Matt yelled back her face. They both continued to bicker.
"Kids, please." Jo said calmly, and she turned to Matt, "You're grounded for two weeks."
"I think he should be put in Military school." Lizzie suggested. Matt made a mocking face at her.
"Son, I think she's right." Sam, the dad, spoke up. "Maybe you will start to realize that life isn't just pranks and games." Matt just sat there, speechless. Was his dad serious? "Maybe we could consider it, Jo. I mean, he has been getting in quite a lot of trouble lately in school and such."
Jo nodded, and Matt nearly choked as he had a bite of cereal in his mouth. Lizzie smiled at him, and then went back upstairs to clean up the mess her rat-head brother made.
"He's eleven and a half. Kids only need to be twelve to go there." Jo discussed more with her husband in a quietly manner. Matt sat on the couch in shock of all what he heard. Noooo! Matt thought.
