*A/N: Yes, I am well aware that this is cliché (and short) as heck.

*BOOM!*

"A-AH!" I quickly pulled my covers back over my head as my house shook with the force of the thunder. My best friend (and crush) Ravis, patted my back trying to calm me down. Of course, he was hiding under the covers as well, but he was doing so to comfort me. Or so he said.

Why was he at my house you ask? Well, I guess it's flashback time.

****QUE FLASHBACK! ****

Ravis and I had decided that we were going to buddy up and do our homework together. I mean, two heads are better than one, right? That same day, both of my parents had to work late, so Ravis and I would have the house all to ourselves for a while.

Anyway, things were going swimmingly until I saw the flash of light. Hoping my eyes had played a trick on me, I went back to my homework. That is, until the lights went out.

I froze, hoping and praying that I wasn't about to hear IT. I could handle anything but IT. You see, I'm not a big fan of loud noises. That's what attracted me to the Ravis. He wasn't a very loud person.

Anyway, right after the lights shut off, a loud booming sound rattled my house. Screaming and covering my ears, I ran to my room, thinking of nothing but hiding under my covers and screaming my head off until the storm blew over.

"E-Eva! W-wait up!" Ravis ran into my room only to find me hiding under the covers shivering. "A-are you okay?" As I was about to answer, the room lit up, the thunder roared, and I screamed again.

Without another word, Ravis climbed in with me.

****FLASHBACK OVER! ****

"I-It's okay Eva. We'll b-be alright!" Just then, another burst of light flashed through the house. We both held our breath as we waited for the terrible sound that we knew would follow.

*BOOM- CRASH!*

Once again, the house quaked. I grabbed onto Ravis and buried my face in his shirt. Ravis placed his hand on my head and started to rub said place. Then he wrapped his other arm around me and pulled me into a hug.

"I know y-you're scared, but d-don't worry. I'll b-be right here with y-you the whole time!" At that, I gave him a wobbly smile, leaned up, and kissed his cheek.

"Th-Thanks Ravis." Said male blushed and looked away.

"Y-You missed..."

I gave him a confused look. "What?"

His blush deepened as he looked back at me. "I-I said you m-missed." With that, he leaned forward and captured my lips in a gentle kiss. My face, of course, exploded into a blush that rivaled Ravis's. Slowly, my eyes closed, allowing me to miss the flash of light. All too soon, the need for air arose, and the two of us were forced to part. As soon as we broke apart-

*BOOM!*

"E-EEP!" Once again, my face met the shirt of the Latvian boy who had stolen my heart and my first kiss.
