I know you've probably heard this a million times, since everyone knew it, but I just want you to know your parents were so in love.

I don't mean to say that other couples didn't love each other as much as your parents did, but Frank and Alice sure made it seem that way sometimes. It was actually pretty ridiculous. I mean, you could just see their faces light up when the other even entered the room. And if someone told me their hands had been glued together, I'd believe it.

Anyway, I don't… I don't know exactly why I'm writing this letter, I guess I know how hard it must be to imagine them as who they really were are. It's difficult for me, too. It's too painful.

I remember one time in seventh year your mum was in the hospital for three days with the flu. The flu! You'd think Pomfrey'd have the flu potion on hand, but for whatever reason, she didn't. But your dad, Merlin, your dad did not leave her bedside the entire time. I'm pretty sure that was the longest he'd ever been away from the Greenhouses and he even skipped Herbology class! I mean, that's how much he loved her. And she loved him for it. For everything, really.

His bashfulness, his determination, the way he kept her grounded. Her nervous rambling, her silliness, the way she boosted his confidence. All of it. She rooted her life in his and he in hers. He'd appreciate that pun.

I know you hear a lot about their accomplishments as Aurors, but, personally, I think their biggest accomplishment was each other. Because what they had, what I have to believe they can still feel the traces of, was unmatched, unfaltering adoration for each other. And for you. They loved you so much, Neville. You are exactly what they longed for and exactly what they never wanted to lose. That's not something that can just be cursed away. It's just not.

You have to know that.
