Oh hey, my first story. Sorry for the shortness and over all roughness of it. I just had sudden inspiration after reading some of Synner23's stories. Which are positively awesome, I highly suggest a read if you like the Jay/Spinner. Otherwise I don't know why you're here.

Disclaimer: Nothing belongs to me. Too bad.

Just 'cause he couldn't see the ceiling didn't mean he couldn't stare at it. Jay folded his arms behind his head, the after-sex-satisfaction glow gone. This was the first time he had felt so wired after the deed, unable to immediately fall asleep. And it was kind of funny, because Jay would have thought that it would be Spin's job to stay up and brood after their little tussle.

Not that he was brooding. The line of bite marks that Spinner had left on Jay just itched. Bad.

Jay skimmed the bruising skin absently with the pads of his fingers, counting the sore places. The broad back facing him was replaced with a chest as bruised as Jay assumed his own was. Maybe even more, since, well, he was such a badass and all.
Jay found himself zeroing on his friend's face, hand moving up of its own accord and cupping Spinner's face. The slumbering teen let out a little groan, but otherwise was still. Jay leaned in for a kiss without a coherent thought to prompt such a action and stopped halfway there, lips curling back in disgust.
What was he doing? He should be gone already, or at least asleep. A show of how little he actually cared about this one night stand. Sure, Spinner was his friend and Jay cared about him as a friend. But there was nothing deeper to this than them both really needing to get laid. Jay sat up and began to get dressed, ignoring the little snort-snore sound that Spin made at the creak of the mattress. He pulled his jacket on over his wife beater and took one last look at the other teen. Spinner was smiling in his sleep, the first real smile Jay has seen since the whole Rick incident.

It almost convinced him to stay, his heart tugging at the sight.
But what was he thinking? He was Jay Hogart. It was well known that Jay Hogart did not have a heart to be tugged. And now was not the time to get one.

Jay turned and stalked out the door, slipping his hat on over his unruly hair. "See ya, Spin." He said quietly, door already halfway closed. It was once again time to run away from that pesky heart of his.
