It's Just One Night...
"Well, tonight's pretty boring," Lily said.
"Yeah, no one's up to much." I replied. It was our night to do rounds. Wed been going round the castle for half an hour - and hadn't met anyone on the way - and still had an hour and a half to go.
"Goodness, I'm tired of roaming the castle aimlessly." Lily sat down against the wall. I sat beside her.
"People are probably studying their butts off, what with exams so close." I said.
"Yeah," Lily said. "I'd been studying all day. It's so frustrating... It's just too much, even for me!"
"I know what you mean," I agreed.
"You know what, Remus? Screw studying. We should take a break, at least for one night. Chill out, have some fun!" Lily exclaimed.
Did I hear right? Did Lily Evans just say 'screw studying'? "Uh yeah, I suppose..."
"No one's breaking any rules, we're wasting our time!" there was a strange sudden spark in her eyes that I didn't really like. "I think I know just what we can do." she smiled at me... seductively? That's the only word that came to my -
Realization of what she was on to dawned over me. "Look Lily, you're an amazing girl, but with my condition, you know I -"
"Oh, come on Remus!" she cut me off. "It's just one night. You're the one who agreed with me about taking a break." she was leaning in slowly; our noses were just a couple of inches away. Her eyes were sparkling so much they'd put the brightest star in the sky to shame. Her eyes... they were so green, so beautiful. How is it that I'd never is noticed them before?
I leaned forward slowly, and when our lips finally met, I could feel sparks flying. The kiss was quite long but sweet. Her lips were warm and soft, and tasted of strawberries.
When we finally broke apart, I was a little out of breath, and apparently so was Lily. She stood up, took my hand and pulled me up. "Come on; let's go find an empty classroom."
