Chapter 1
'You are going back to school Henry, and that's final!.' shouted Henry 'Indiana' Jones II.
'I'm not!' replied his son, Henry 'Mutt' Jones III.
Indiana glared at his only son. They had been arguing over this issue, since they'd all returned from South America. At the moment Marion was away, having gone back to her and Mutts original home to pack up the rest of their things. She'd be back on Monday, but it was only Wednesday now, and he and Mutt were already at each others throats.
'This isn't up for discussion, you are going to finish your education and thats final.' said Indy.
'There's no reasoning with you Dad.' shouted Mutt, walking over to the door.
'Where do you think you are you going?' asked Indy.
'Out.' said Mutt. 'And if your going to be like this, I might not bother coming back.'
Indy flinched, as the door slammed shut. He groaned out loud. Why couldn't Mutt see, that he just had his best interests at heart. Indy sighed and sat down in a chair in the living room, picking up a book he'd been reading, he'd talk to his son rationally when his son got back.
DING DING
Indy started awake, as the old grandfather clock woke him up. He'd fallen asleep whilst reading, nothing new. He looked at the clock, surprised to see it was 11 o'clock. He noticed the house was unusually quiet, surely Mutt would have woken him up when he returned. Unless...
Indiana quickly darted to his son's room, only to find it was empty. He proceeded to check each room, with no success. As Indy checked the final room, the downstairs toilet, he knew Mutt had yet to return home.
'Damn that boy.' He muttered, grabbing the keys to his car. 'He's going to e in so much trouble when I catch him.'
Indy drove down the town, which was near both the house and the school. It was a popular area for the kids Mutts age to hang out. Now though it was relatively quiet, most of the students having gone home. Indy kept a look out for Mutt, and pulled up when he spotted his son's trusty motorbike. Getting out of the car, Indy proceeded to look for his son.
Half hour later and Indy had still had no luck in finding his missing son. He was passing past one of the many alley ways, when he heard a small whimper of pain. Curious, Indy went to investigate. He gasped in shock when he discovered the source of the whimper.
'Mutt?' Indy spoke.
Mutt lifted his head, tear tracks evident on his face. 'Dad?'
'Whats wrong?' asked Indy, as he bent down next to his son, who was clutching at this ankle.
'Some guys tried to grab my wallet, which I didn't even have, and when I tried to fight back, the one grabbed a metal bar and swung it at my ankle.' Said Mutt, trying to keep the pain he was in being shown by his voice.
Indy nodded and looked at the ankle. Whilst its was to dark to notice the extent of the injury, Indy could tell it was definitely swollen.
'Ok, I'm gonna need u to lean on me whilst we get you back to the car, and when we get home I'll fix your ankle up, ok?'
'Sure dad, thanks.'
'No problem son.'
Slowly Indy and Mutt made it back to the car, with Indy promising himself that when he brought up the conversation of school again, he'd be less harsh and angry.
Not great but something. Its been so long since I've actually written anything though. Plus I've finally got MS word, yey no more typing mistakes... hopefully.
