Chapter 1 – Trust
Put simply he was not a social person. For all his life he had rejected others, never feeling the need to connect to them.
Yet he felt pity, which surprised far too many people for his liking. However he never explained this surprise to them as he never connected to them.
It was all some vicious circle that he was all-too familiar with.
Trust works both ways – he knew that too well, too.
And yet to watch them laughing; trusting him to watch over them even though they rarely knew how nearby he was...Kai couldn't help but crack a smile.
