Josh Trager stood in front of the bathroom mirror. He was pinching his hair gelled hair so that it was super spiky. Stopping for a moment, he stared at his reflection. "I look good," Josh commented as he winked at his reflection.

"I thought that Andy said that girls didn't like surprises," Kyle asked. He was sitting on the edge of the tub. He raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"Well, it's complicated. Having your boyfriend come to visit after being gone for a week is a little different. I wouldn't tell a girl we were going to the movies if we were actually going to sky dive," Josh explained, "Hey! Don't you have to get ready for your date with Amanda?"

"So, it's like giving her a gift," Kyle commented. He grinned. "I'm ready." He looked from side to side as he thought about what Josh said. "Why would you go sky diving? You don't know how to sky dive," he asked

Josh shook his head. "Dude, you're unbelievable sometimes," he said, thoroughly impressed Kyle was ready for his date, "It was an example! Chill out, man." He looked at his reflection and nodded a second time. "Well, I'd love to stay here all night and talk, but, I really have to dash. Later."

"Later," Kyle said as Josh left the bathroom. Kyle stood. He went to the bathroom mirror and looked at his reflection. "I look good," he said, nodding his head slightly.

Lori peered into the bathroom. She rolled her eyes and then let her gaze settle on Kyle. "Not you too," Lori said. She was slightly exasperated. "Don't act like Josh, OK? Just be yourself. Amanda likes you for who you actually are. She doesn't want to be with another phony."

"Thanks. That's pretty good advice," Kyle said. He turned away from the mirror and looked at Lori. Kyle smiled at her.

"Thanks," she said, "Have fun on your date, Kyle. If you see any eligible bachelors…send them my way, OK? I'd really appreciate it." She chuckled and then sighed.

"No problem," Kyle said, walking past her. He walked down the steps and to the front door. Opening it, he walked out of the door and next door. Kyle stopped walking and watched as Josh hopped into his old, beat up car and drive off.

Josh drove up to Andy Jenson's home. He parallel parked and turned off the engine. He stared at the two-story house in front of him. There were just two lights on, excluding the front porch light that Andy's mom always kept on. Unbuckling his seatbelt, Josh got out of the car. He took the steps to the front door two at a time. Stepping up to the door, Josh knocked and stepped back. As he waited, he looked at the white shield on the brown painted door and wondered what it meant.

Hearing the door open, Josh looked up. He smiled at Andy's mother, Lily. She was a pretty woman with blond hair and tired looking brown eyes. She quickly stuffed something into her pocket.

"Good evening, Josh," she said. Her voice was strained and forced. She crossed her arms over her chest. "What brings you here this late?"

"Umm…it's not late. It's only 9 o'clock. I'm here to see Andy," Josh said, "We haven't seen each other for a week. I thought she'd like to see me."

"Andy's sleeping right now. She's pretty tired from the trip. I'll let her know you were here. It would be best that you go home and call her tomorrow," Lily said, "Good night, Josh."

"Night," Josh said turning around and heading back to his car.
