Sometimes Draco wondered about Harry (Potter his mind reminded him) He wonders why Harry is always so skinny seeing as though he eats a lot. He wonders why Harry flinches whenever someone calls him "boy." Draco wonders why Harry at the beginning of every school year is seen wearing extremely large clothes. Draco wonders why Harry had tons of bruises covering his body or at least the parts that were visible. Draco wonders why Harry is distancing himself from the other members of the "Golden Trio."
Draco wonders these things while sitting in the Room of Requirement. He had found it in his third year. Since now it was his sixth year thing have changed. He's wondered what has changed Harry. Draco has decided what to do. The only person that Harry talked to anymore was Luna Lovegood. Draco would talk to her.
The next morning when Draco passed Luna in the halls he stopped her and dragged her to the side. "Hey what is wrong with Ha- Potter? Do you even know?" Luna seemed to stare right through him and seemed to like what she saw. "I'm doing my best to find out." Draco sighed walking past and said over his shoulder "I want to help."
And then he left her he never noticed that she had a knowing smirk on her face. But he was satisfied with himself that he had admitted that both to himself and to her.
Harry always knew that his family life wasn't the best. But since Uncle Vernon found out that Sirius was dead it had steadily gotten worse . It wasn't just starvation any more because that he could easily deal with that. No now it was straight out abuse. Aunt Petunia tried to help out my keeping him out of the house whenever she could making him do chores, shopping, and the like. But every night while Aunt Petunia was sleeping Uncle Vernon would come into his room and would not only beat him but gag him too.
Sometimes Harry would think of it as punishment for things that he had done wrong. For killing Cedric, Sirius, and the cause of death of his parents. But other times he wondered if it was simply because he was a bad friend and person.
Meanwhile during his constant beatings Harry knew that both Hermione and Ron were to busy making out to even notice that he hadn't even tried to send them any letters.
In fact the only person that Harry did write to during his entire summer was, you guessed it, Luna Lovegood. He told her everything that he didn't dare tell Ron and Hermione. She was the first person he ever told that he was gay. However he knew that she was getting suspicious of his family times. She would constantly ask him about the treatment he received from his family. And he knew that she noticed how detached he got whenever he was asked about it.
