What really happened on Woman Wept
They walked out under the waves. Rose admired how the moonlight was reflected on them. They were shining like diamonds.
"Beautiful," said the Doctor.
"Yes, it is," replied Rose.
"I wasn't talking about the waves," said the Doctor. Rose blushed and smiled.
"Care to dance?" the Doctor asked, holding out his hand.
"I'd love to," said Rose, taking it. And slowly, to no music, they danced. It wasn't like last time. This wasn't for fun. It was for the moment. It was slow, and beautiful. Rose looked into the Doctor's eyes. They made her feel safe. The Doctor stared into hers. They made him feel warm.
"Doctor," began Rose. "Is there anything else special about this planet? Any sort of energy or something?"
"Why do you ask?" said the Doctor.
"It's just … never mind."
"No, what?"
"Well, it's probably nothing, but, being here, with you, now, it just feels so …perfect," said Rose. "Like the best moment of my life." The Doctor was silent for a moment, then spoke.
"Actually, I think I know what you're taking about," he said. "People say that when the sea froze, the actual moment was frozen. Not just physically, but emotionally as well. They say that here that moments and feelings can seem like they last forever."
"Well, there you go," said Rose.
"Except, only a handful of people have been lucky enough to experience these moments," continued the Doctor. "These moments have to be truly special to begin with—" the Doctor trailed off as he realised what he'd just said. Rose looked at him, not knowing what was going to happen next.
"Doct—" began Rose, but she was cut off as the Doctor kissed her. It was sweet, yet strong. It told her that the Doctor cared for her, but also wanted so much more. It was the most loving kiss she'd ever received. Eventually the Doctor pulled away.
"I'm sorry," he said.
"What for?" asked Rose.
"Well, you know, just then," the Doctor said.
"Doctor, there's nothing to apologise for," assured Rose. "If anything, you could apologise for, well, taking so long."
"Huh?" said the Doctor, not sure if he's heard correctly.
"Well, come on," said Rose. " 'I'm so glad I met you' … 'I could save the world but lose you' … 'What use are emotions if you will not save the woman you love'…"
"Oh," said the Doctor, a little uneasy. "So, you, want this?" Rose looked the Doctor in the eye.
"Yes, I do," she replied. "So much." The Doctor smiled at her.
"Me too," he said. Rose smiled and flung her arms around him.
"I, I love you Rose," the Doctor said.
"I love you too," replied Rose. They smiled at each other, then kissed. As their lips touched they felt fire and warmth. They felt happiness. They felt complete and utter devotion to each other. They felt love.
"Er, hey guys," interrupted Jack. "What ya up to?" They just laughed.
I know it's really short and random and has a bad ending, but did you like it? Reviews make my day!
