"Mama." Houston said as he shook Jackie awake one morning.
"What buddy?" Jackie asked as she opened her eyes slowly.
"Me go to school?" Houston asked sounding really excited.
"You will go to school sweetie but school doesn't start for a few more weeks." Jackie said with a chuckle.
"But me want to go today." He said in a sad little voice.
"I know, and mommy is so happy you want to go to school."
"Me cited." He told her happily.
"That's good, you are going to love school, it will be so much fun, and in a couple weeks we are going to go school shopping, and we are going to buy you everything that you need for school, won't that be fun?" Jackie asked.
"Yeah." Houston exclaimed happily.
Jackie smiled at him, she truly was happy that Houston was looking forward to starting school, much like Jasmine had been last summer.
Jackie looked at her alarm clock. It was 7:30 in the morning.
"Houston would you like mommy to get up and make you some breakfast?" She asked.
"Yeah."
"Yeah? What would you like?"
"Waffles." He replied.
"Alright, mommy can make you waffles." She told him.
Houston looked over towards Nick's side of the bed but Nick was gone.
"Where dada?" He asked.
"He's working sweetie, he'll be home in just a little bit." She told him as she got up so she could go make the waffles.
Jackie and Houston enjoyed a nice breakfast together, Jackie always enjoyed getting to spend one on one time with her kids.
Houston enjoyed it too, even if he was a little disappointed that he didn't get to go to school that day.
