There are some things in this world that will never make sense to Lisa Cuddy. How "one size fits all" shirts ever sell, why suede stains but cows don't, and why she can't forget the feel of House's lips on hers.
All he has to do is look at her and she's out of breath, weak kneed, and back in her doorway with his lips on hers and her heart racing.
She's a level headed, intelligent, beautiful woman. If she ever stopped living at the hospital she could meet someone nice, maybe even get married (she doesn't really believe that). She knows that a relationship with House is a one way street to heartbreak – and that's if she ever even managed to get on the road.
He's nothing but trouble; she's known that (and loved that) from day one.
But she can't get the feel of his lips on hers out of her mind (and she doesn't want to). In her head she knows there's no scenario where he sweeps her off her feet, admits his undying love, and they live happily ever after (only in her dreams). But someone forgot to explain that to her lips and her heart.
