I owned nothing. My first fan fiction. I would love to know what you think.
She walked into the squad room, she had just finish her report on the Nelson case. On her way up she ran into Danny he told her that Flack had been cleared from IA. She was relieved, she knew he was upset about what had happened. She knew she didn't help matters when IA confronted her about their relationship. Of course, her statement went out the window. She closed her eyes, she shouldn't have brought up who knew they were dating. She looked around the room and he was gone.
"I talked to Angell earlier," Mac said as he drunk his beer and looked at Flack.
"Yeah," Flack said. The last thing he wanted to do was talk about their relationship. She was worried about who knew the were dating and he told her he had bigger things to worry about.
"She was worried about the IA interview, said something about her statement making it worse on you." Mac said.
Flack looked at him, "What.. Why would she think that, she told them what happened."
"Look, I am going to be honest with you, it is no secret that you two have something going on, I can see it when you two are together, you are both professional at work," Mac said and looked at Flack and smiled. "I pick up on the small things."
"Small things?" Flack asked. They had been careful, he thought they had. He smiled and thought of some of the conversion they had before they started dating.
"She is worried about you and your career she was scared she messed it up." Mac said.
Flack didn't say anything , he finished drinking his beer and stood up.
"Games not over yet," Mac said.
"I need to take care something," he said. He threw down a couple of dollars and grabbed his coat. "Thanks, Mac, I needed this."
Her body was still soar from being slammed into the subway train. Tackling that kid today, reminded her about those aches. She laid her head back and listened to the music. She had ran a bubble bath , she wanted to relax and forget her problems. But all she could think about was Don.
Don walked to her door and knocked. He heard music playing, he knew she was in the bath tub, He took out his key and unlocked the door. "Jess," he said.
She thought she heard something. Then she heard her name being called.
She looked at him standing in the doorway to the bathroom. He looked tired.
Don looked at her, and she looked worn out. "Hi," he said.
"Hi," she said. She thought about getting out. But he walked in and sat down on the toilet.
"Jess, I'm sorry about today," he said.
"No, Don, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought up who knew about us dating." She said.
"I don't know who told IA about us, and I right now I really don't care who told them." Don said.
"But, I made it worse for you…" Jess said.
Don stopped her. "No you didn't, you didn't do anything wrong."
"I did, you were going through hell, and instead of supporting you I went on about IA knowing we were dating. I was scared that I messed things for you ."Jess said.
"Jess, stop, I understand, let's put it behind us and move on." He said and smiled. Jess looked at him.
"We ok," Don said. He leaned over and kissed her. He looked in her eyes and smiled.
Jess pulled him back down for another kiss, she pulled him down in the tub with her.
"What the hell, Jess." Don said and laughed as he wiped the suds away from his face.
"Yeah, we're ok." Jess said as he kissed her again.
