Hello everyone! :D My name is Queen of Madness. I'm new here, but I've been writing fanfiction for a while now. This is a story I wrote for a close friend of mine (Michi-chan, as I call her) for Valentine's Day. Hope you like it. :)
Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Hearts or any of the characters. If I did, Axel and Roxas would've admitted their love for each other by now. But alas, I do not own the games.
"Roxas."
"…."
"Roxas!"
"……."
"Oh, Roxy~"
The blonde turned swiftly in his seat to glare at Axel, who was sprawled over his bed. "What do you want?"
The redhead grinned and pointed at the calendar. "Don't you know what day it is, Roxy?"
Blank stare. "No. Should I?"
"It's Valentine's Day!" Axel slammed a hand against the date on the calendar. "The day of love!"
"Oh. That's nice." Roxas turned back to his studies.
"WHAT?! Roxas, do you not understand the importance of this?"
He sighed. "Apparently not."
Axel stood up and cleared his throat, as if he were about to present a speech. "Since you always have your nose in a book, let me explain the social customs of normal people: Valentine's Day is the one day when two people can express their love for each other. A day for love, happiness, and most importantly…candy!" With this, the redhead pulled several boxes of candy hearts from his bag and flopped back on the bed.
The blonde just stared. "You're so weird."
He shrugged. "That's what makes me loveable." He shook a box of the hearts. "Want some? They have sayings on them."
"No thanks." Roxas turned back to his books and began reading.
With another shrug, Axel opened a box of the hearts and chose one at random. An idea formed itself in his head as he read the saying, and slowly he smiled. I'm gonna have fun with this, he thought.
He cleared his throat and read the heart's saying out loud. "Cutie."
The blonde's head twitched a little, but he continued to read.
Looks like I'll just have to try harder. "Be mine."
No response. The redhead decided to be a little more creative. "Hottie."
Roxas cringed. With a smile, Axel continued. "Sexy beast. My love for you burns like a thousand suns."
The blonde stood up suddenly, marching toward the bed. His face was slightly red. "There's no way that could fit on such a tiny heart!"
Axel smirked, sitting up. "Oh, you'd be surprised." He popped the heart in his mouth with a satisfied smile.
Roxas leaned over, trying to snatch the box from the redhead's clutches. "Let me see those."
"No way!" Axel stood up and held the box high in the air. "These things are always right, you know. They say everything I want to say."
The blonde blushed and looked down at his feet. "I doubt it."
"No, it's true." Axel pulled another heart from the box and scanned the inscription. With a smile, he tilted the blonde's face so he could meet his eyes. "For instance, this one says what I want to do now…" He moved closer until their lips were barely touching. "Kiss me," he whispered before closing the distance between them.
After a few minutes, the redhead pulled away. Roxas looked up at him in complete awe. "W-Wow. That was…surprising."
Axel grinned sheepishly. "A good surprise, I hope?"
"Of course, silly," The blonde muttered, throwing his arms around the other's neck.
Axel chuckled, slipping his arms around Roxas' waist. "I love you, Roxy."
"Love you too, Axel." As an afterthought, he added, "Happy Valentine's Day."
"Happy Valentine's Day to you too, Roxas."
