Paper bags in between them, drinks between their thighs, the two males laughed and giggled at every movement, every word, every thought. In a Wendy's parking lot was really no place to light up, but it was better than either of their bedrooms, where a parent or a sibling or a roommate might find them smoking their blunt and having a jolly old time. That, for the two currently-high teens, was something that could not happen - no - would not happen. They wouldn't let it. And so the boys spent their Friday evening smoking a joint in the elder's car.
"Roxas. Dude, Roxas." the owner of said car snorted with drug-induced laughter, prodding his little blond friend with a french fry. "I just had a thought."
Eyes brimming with tears of mirth, the boy named Roxas replied with a shaky. "Y-yeah?" as he tried not to laugh and talk at the same time.
"I wonder if vegans swallow." the elder said, suddenly seriously contemplative. Roxas squeezed his eyes shut, letting a fit of giggles pass before he put the blunt to his lips and inhaled deeply before handing it over to his friend.
"Axel." The boy chuckled. "That is...legit the dumbest thing you've ever said."
The older teen tried to thwack Roxas on the shoulder, but only succeeded in dropping his french fry. Hand diving for it as he took a hit of the meticulously-rolled blunt, he glanced in his rear-view mirror. Blue and red lights reflected in it and lit up the darkened car as a police cruiser parked only a few parking spaces away. The redhead froze.
"Oh God. Roxas." he said, struck with unadulterated terror. "Cops! Shit!" fear coupled with being extremely high did not bode well for either teen.
"What!" Roxas cried with a gasp as he whipped around in his seat to see the officer coming toward the car with a flashlight. Not knowing what to do, the boys floundered for a way to look innocent. Axel's windows had been down to ventilate, but unfortunately for the two, the car still smelled heavily of marijuana. The officer was coming ever closer, and literally flailing his arms as he floundered for a way to deter the cop, Axel did the first thing that came to mind.
The redhead threw the joint in the ash tray and closed it, then hastily removed his shirt, throwing it into the back seat as he threw himself at his friend and crushed their lips together, snaking his hand up the blond's shirt. Roxas fought him for a moment, but it only served to jostle the car as the officer finally stopped and bent down to shine his flashlight through the open window.
"Excuse me boys - o-oh." the officer stopped dead as his flashlight shone on something he had never wanted to see. Axel pulled away from Roxas and blushed deeply, glancing up at the officer.
"Erm...is there something we can h-help you with, officer?" Axel asked sheepishly.
"Uh...no, no...you boys...have a nice night...and uh...you know...use protection and all that." with that, the officer stood straight and walked away from the car fast. It seemed like he hadn't even smelled the pot at all.
Axel rolled up his window, now officially feeling sober as the blunt burned away in the ash tray where it had been stashed. He pulled out of the parking lot.
It was a quiet drive home.
