The Slit Mouthed Woman
During the Samurai days of Japan, there was a beautiful woman. She was the prettiest woman in the whole of Japan. She was married to a noble Samurai, who fought for his country most of the time. One day, the noble Samurai came back from the war and accused his wife of cheating while he was gone. In a rage, he slit her mouth from side to side and threw her in the lake. No one had seen her since. Alas, this is not the end of this myth. Reports say that people see in modern Japan a dazed woman wearing a surgical mask. Now, don't rip off the surgical mask of everyone one in in Japan you see. There are a lot of people who wear surgical masks. People say that once the slit mouthed woman corners you, she asks you if you think she is beautiful. She won't wait for you to answer, she will immediately rip off her surgical mask, revealing the slits. Then she will ask you again if she is beautiful. If you answer yes, she will cut your face up like hers, and if you answer no, she will angrily wring your neck. According to the people of Japan, the best answer is... You look average. This will confuse her, and you will have enough time to escape.
Red and Blue
A few years ago, there was a very ugly girl. She was forever bullied by the popular and pretty girls. One day after school, the popular girls jumped and grabbed the ugly girl and took her to the public bathrooms. They sunk her head into the last toilet seat and accidentally drowned her. Scared, they through her body to the back of the toilet. These public toilets were hardly used, so no one found her for quite some time. The rest your could say... Is quite... Mythical. A police woman was searching for the missing girl and decided to go for a toilet break. When she walked into the public toilets, she heard a voice call, "Red or Blue?". If the police woman was to say red, the last cubicle door would slam open and the ugly girl would walk out and cut her neck, thus creating a pool of RED blood. If the police woman was to say blue, the last cubicle door would slam open and the ugly girl would walk out and strangle her, thus making her face BLUE. If the police woman was to say any other color, the last cubicle door would slam open and the ugly girl would walk out and drag her back to the cubicle and bring her down to hell. It's really quite unpleasant, any of these options really. Just do as the police woman did and run away to live another day.
The Telephone Game
This really isn't a myth, but a game. Ten people with phones would sit in a circle. Some one starts off by calling the person to their right. The person on the right must pick up the phone and listens. If it is the person to their left, they then hang up and call the person on their right. If they pick up the phone, and hear a different voice, that is the telephone 'MASTER'. That person can ask any question they want, and the telephone master would know the correct answer to it. It could be any question at all. But here comes the twist, the telephone master will ask you a question as well, it could be anything to 'What is the last digit of Pi' to 'What did you have for breakfast'. If you answer the question correctly, then he will hang up and leave you alone, but if you answer it incorrectly, well, tough biscuits, he's going to follow you around until he finds you, then he's going to... You guessed it. Hug you, I mean kill you.
