Pairing: Pillar Pair
Tezuka's POV
This was important for Echizen. He wanted him to develop his own play style. One that he would be able to call his own. He wanted him to show the world his magnificence. When he did such, he would at least want the boy to display his originality. Not just copying Nanjiroh Echizen's style, giving the world a reappearance of the once great player. But for Echizen-kun to manage that, he had a long road ahead of him. A road that showed difficulties and triumphs. A road that involved lessons and advancing abilities. To assist in such process, this was the reason he called the boy out.
To him, it did not matter if it resulted a hindrance in his arm. At least then, he knew what direction to push the boy in…
"Echizen, I will be waiting for you 3pm, 3 days from now. Please show at the new renovated tennis court by the train's path. Prepare yourself."
It was okay, everything was fine. This deemed quite necessary in the boy's advancements, yet what was this feeling that began forming inside him? Perhaps he was just tired, for now maybe he'll just try to sleep it off…

"Shall we begin?
"Anytime bochou."
The two teens began to stare each other down, letting the atmosphere become tense. They locked eyes, silently initiating their match. Without hesitating, he started… Right off the bat, he showed Echizen he was serious. Today he was playing no games, so the other boy's cocky comments weren't needed. Instantly, he seemed to understand, not letting one word past his lips.
It was okay. It was fine this way. Silence was necessary to bring out one's abilities. Still…what was this feeling forming inside him?

Though the battle was swift and it ended quite quickly in his favor, somehow, Echizen and him kept full eye contact. He expected the match to be tense and uncomfortable, but the harmless connection they shared kept his sea of feelings calm. It was as if, Echizen had the power to sooth him…
No. Something like that didn't seem possible. Maybe his exhaustion was catching up to him, making him imagine strange thoughts. Or was it the medicine he was taking for his injury?
(The match did require him to use his drop shot to close up his 'test'. When Oishi and him went back to Dr. Renjashi, the man did mention something about him snapping something. It wasn't important, but it was needed to continue healing his main injury. To get rid of the problem, the doctor prescribed a bitter healing powder for him. In addition, he also had to limit his playing to an hour. Something like that was a hindrance to him, but he managed to deal with it. )
According to Oishi, something like that wouldn't have caused all this if he didn't perform his "stupid test". Though he had a point, he still didn't regret his actions. The match was necessary for Echizen after all. This was all he could do for him.

"Become the pillar of Seigaku."
That was what he said to him,but he couldn't shake the feeling of saying something else. It was like something was weighing on his mind, pushing him to confess something. At the moment, he dismissed the thought since he was more focused on Ryoma, but….
Since when did he start becoming familiar with his kohai?
Urm…continuing where he left off, every time he seems to recall what he wanted to confess the word 'love' comes to mind.
Not possible, maybe it was his fatigue toying with him again. For now, he should just close his book and go to bed. Maybe tomorrow, he'll have a talk with Ry-Echizen.
Once again, I don't think I did too good.
But um, please review though.
Waa~
