Doomsday Machine and Splits Through Time
(Authors Note: This story takes place in the classic Sonic era before Sonic 4 but after the main series and Sonic Generations. I prefer to use Dr. Eggman and not Dr. Robotnik- but if requested I will. I know Classic Sonic doesn't talk but it's hard to have a character who doesn't talk. I will make reference to the current games.)
Sonic the Hedgehog sat impatainetly on a loop de loop over Chemical Plant; today was pretty boring. Not too long ago he met his future self and traveled through time and saw his future! Man it was very exciting; for the past week or so things seemed pretty slow. Eggman didn't really have any big plans either, which bothered the cobalt hedgehog. "I thought he would at least plan to steal a Chaos Emerald or some doomed scheme, but this is just depressing." Sonic noticed a spark through the pink mist that had red eyes and was closing in fast. It was Metal Sonic- his biggest rival.
"This is more like it. Bring it on tin can!", Sonic challenged his robotic double while waving his finger; Metal just figured this out-Ram him over the edge into the chemicals. But before Metal could secure his postion Sonic ran off, kicking off a dust cloud, and running down a straight path, dodging spikes on the left and right. Sonic accelerated and so did Metal as the two were back to back. Sonic smiled as Metal chased him around and around.
In Green Hill Tails was waiting by a small loop de loop. Sonic promised to meet him here in some 30 minutes, but he got the feeling Sonic got into some sort of predicament. Then Amy showed up and screamed "Hi Tails! Do you know where Sonic is today? I wanted to talk to him about our wedding." Then Eggman showed up with a Timestone! "What's that thing, resembling a Chaos Emerald!" Tails exclaimed, and Amy answered for him "That's a Timestone! That's what the doctor was after when Sonic saved me on Little Planet." Eggman grinned and said "Yes my dear rodent! The world and all of the timelines will be mine! I WILL OUTSHINE MY FUTURE SELF!" Tails had a worried look on his face and asked "So you just want to conquer the future that we went to not too long ago and change it?" "YES!"
A breeze zoomed by, followed by another breeze! Once both slowed down they were revealed to be Sonic and Metal Sonic; Sonic appeared to slightly tired and a few scratches while Metal didn't a dint or mark on him! Sonic looked up at Eggman and screamed in outrage "YOU'RE CRAZY! I'M STOPPING BOTH YOU AND METAL HERE AND NOW!"
