A/N: I give you, Casablanca: Transformers style. This was written for a friend ages ago. If you've seen Casablanca, and I have just ruined it for you and you will never be able to watch that movie again without snerking. If this is the case, then my job here is done.
Seriously, I actually found the script for this movie and pretty much warped it to my liking. Hope you get a kick out of it.
Casablanca: Little Kaon
Shockwave and Soundwave walked out onto the launch pad, watching Megatron and his crew board the ship.
Shockwave glanced at Soundwave, "Last night...We said a great many things. You said I was to do the thinking for both of us."
Soundwave looked over at him in question. They had indeed had a wonderful night. An unexpected night of pleasure he was not soon to forget.
Shockwave continued slowly. "Well, I've done a lot of it since then, and it all adds up to one thing: You're getting on that ship with Lord Megatron where you belong."
Soundwave could hardly contain his surprise. "But... Shockwave... No... I..."
"Now, you've got to listen to me. You have any idea what you'd have to look forward to if you stayed here? Nine chances out of ten, we'd both wind up rusting in a corner with all our energon resources completely depleted."
Soundwave's minicons, who had been loading the ship all made loud sounds of approval. None of them wished to see their creator left behind.
Shockwave sighed loudly to silence them. "Megatron needs you. You must protect him. You must guide him."
Soundwave protested loudly. "You're saying this only to make me go."
"I'm saying it because it's true. Inside of us, we both know you belong with Megatron. You're part of his plan, the thing that keeps everything together. If that ship leaves Cybertron and you're not with him, you'll regret it. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life."
"But what about us?" That night they had spent together... The night of pleasure. The night of bonding... There was no telling if they would ever return. If he would ever see his mate again.
"We will always have Kaon. The Decepticons would have lost everything till you arrived. I had lost sight of what it was to be loyal."
Shockwave looked fully at Soundwave, his expressionless optic looking deep behind Soundwave's expressionless mask and visor. "I got it back last night."
Soundwave shook his head. Surely their freshly made bond could not withstand the distance. Shockwave was being ridiculous. "When I said I would never leave you-"
"And you never will." Their bond sparked brightly between them. "But I've got a job to do, too. Where I'm going, you can't follow. What I've got to do, you can't be any part of." Shockwave was of course referring to protecting Cybertron from things Soundwave could never understand. Soundwave deserved better than endless years of utter solitude.
"Soundwave, I'm not good at being emotional, but I understand that the problems of two mechs doesn't amount to much in this war. Someday you'll understand that."
Shockwave lightly reached out and adjusted Soundwave's visor. "Here's looking at you, Soundwave."
Soundwave understood. Their bond knew no bounds. He was being entrusted with a great task. He would protect Megatron. One day, he would meet up with Shockwave again.
He turned and headed for the ship.
Shockwave watched as the ship took off. He could still feel the bond pulsing hard. Soundwave would not forget about him. He would return.
