An Ode to the Toad
"What the heck
you little toad?
My room looks like
it's been hit by a brick load!
How did all my clothes
end up out on the road?"
"It wasn't my fault.
It was Freddy," he crowed.
My mouth made a smile,
but my eyes screamed killer-mode.
The cower in his face
meant the look really showed.
"We took Lance's car
and in it we rode
and before we knew it,
we got the thing towed."
"And your plan was to what?
get your butts mowed
by me first?
What a load!"
"Freddy's brain still hasn't shored
despite all the years that it's rowed."
What? Now you've ruined my poem.
Thanks a lot Toad!
"I take it for me
this doesn't well-bode?"
"You get one get-out-of-jail-free card
all wrapped up and bowed."
"Thanks a lot, Tabs."
That ending just flowed.
"And that secret crush in you diary,
that really blowed."
"Toad!" (p.s. I don't really have a diary.)
"Come on, Tabs,
the Brotherhood code?"
"What's yours is mine,
and what's mine is yours" …ode
"and if you touch mine again,
I'll make yours explode!"
And I did.
The End
