Good To Grow
As soon as he woke up, Beast Boy looked in the mirror, checking his height. He'd been doing this for quite a while now. "Why?" you might ask. Beast Boy would never answer you truthfully but, it was for her.
Raven. The dark empath with the violet hair and indigo eyes. He could stare into those eyes all day. She is also the reason he had made a promise to himself.
A growl from his stomach snapped his mind from his reflection to the fact that he hadn't had breakfast. He quickly got ready for another day of crime-fighting and video games.
As he walked toward the ops room he thought about how he'd get to see her and how stupid that sounded. The doors opened with a swish. Beast Boy plastered a grin on his green face and yelled, "Good mornin' Titans!"
He got a few murmurs of replies from the others. By now he was in the middle of the room when he hesitated. Robin seemed to sense his hesitation and turned to look at him from his position on the couch.
"Anything wrong BB?" He inquired of his green team mate.
Beast Boy didn't reply but he did say, "Raven, come here."
Said girl looked up from her book with a questioning look. The remaining members' eyes flitted between the two.
Beast Boy, ignoring the others said, "Just do it."
With a sigh, Raven stood up, walked around the couch and stood in front of the changeling. Beast Boy then took his hand and put the side against the top of her forehead. He then moved his hand toward himself. When his hand found its mark on his brow he smiled. He was officially two inches taller than her. Then he hesitated again.
"Is that all?" Raven questioned.
"Well, I promised myself I would do something if this happened but," He faltered, "Aw, why not you only live once."
Before anyone could say anything he took her face in his hand and crashed his lips to hers. Beast Boy was barely aware of Robin, Starfire, and Cyborg freaking out in the background. Though as quickly as it began be broke away from the kiss. All fear for his life vanished as soon as Raven grabbed his shirt and kissed him again.
She soon moved away from him, flicked him in the nose, and said, "Don't surprise me like that."
She then started to walk away, with Beast Boy following behind her absent- mindedly.
Behind them, the other titans snapped out of their shocked states. As soon as the new pair was out of the door Cyborg started laughing. Robin and Starfire gave him confused looks.
"Now that they're together, Robin owes me some money." He explained happily.
As Cyborg and Starfire laughed and Robin fumed, Beast Boy realized he had done this because he had gotten taller. Man, it was good to grow.
