Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog looked at each other intensely as they were in a fighting pose. The two were prepared to run.
"I'm gonna beat you easy, hedgehog!" Mario taunted.
"Don't get too cocky, mustache breath!" Sonic scoffed.
And then without waiting any longer, Sonic took off, with Mario doing a backwards long jump to catch up. The two kept going fast around the Mushroom Kingdom as they zipped through the Green Hill Zone, with Bowser and Eggman watching from the sidelines.
"Can't they realize that we're faster?" Eggman snapped.
"Apparently not, old friend..." Bowser sighed.
