I don't know how I feel about his one...

Warnings: Angst?

Disclaimer: Not mine. I mean, really? Would Disney leave their poor characters in the hands of a pervert teenager?

EDIT: Senjuina was kind enough to point out a very bad typo of mine. I'd written Saix as No. XII, whereas he's definitely No. VII. I'm just so used to typing an X. Anyway! It's fixed now. C:

This wasn't where he wanted to be.

Saix groaned inwardly as Xemnas chattered on and on about Kingdom Hearts. Future plots, schemes, the Keyblade Master... After the first few words all Saix had heard was "Blah, blah, blah."

The bluennette gazed longingly out the open window, the starry night sky beckoning to him. Blood boiled and festered under his itching skin. If Xemnas didn't stop speaking soon he may have to just throw himself out into the night. Suddenly there was an incessant tapping on his forehead. He blinked stupidly for a moment and gazed down at his superior.

"You haven't heard a word I've said, have you?" Saix inclined his head politely. "No sir," He amended, and after a moments thought added, "I apologize, sir."

Xemnas sighed and returned to his seat behind the mahogany desk.

"You may take your leave number XII."

The bluennette bowed, frowning to himself at the fact that Xemnas had referred to him as number XII. That was certainly a step backwards in their relationship. Which was certainly nothing more than Superior/Employee; mind you. Usually he dismissed him as Saix. But he let it go and exited the room.

---

The wind was crisp, fast, and dreadfully cold.

Positioned at the top of the castle was a small balcony surrounded with iron wrought bars. This was where Saix stood perched as he moved fore ward and gripped the railing tightly, his knuckles turning white as he gazed up into the heart shaped moon. It was strangely beautiful. He may be nobody, but he was able to appreciate it all the same.

Just like back in the Superior's office, his skin crawled as he took in the view. How he wanted to let his inner beast free. To roam about the World That Never Was balanced on all four limbs.

Running... Free... Escape...

His mind was whispering those forbidden words again. He silenced them and bit down on his lower lip. It would have to wait. He would have a heart soon. Kingdom Hearts would be complete. He would be free to do whatever he wished.

The bluennette ran shaky hands through his long blue locks and tugged through any snags he encountered. Calming himself was a difficult task; always had been. He hazed desperately up at the moon, then realized that if he didn't leave the vicinity soon, he'd go stark raving mad. Saix summoned a portal and staggered through, the effect almost immediate. He breathed a sigh of relief and ambled wearily down the white-washed halls of the castle.

Wishing for his heart, longing for his freedom.
