DISCLAIMER: i dont own anything harry potter :( (Mai Porter is mine though)

Mai Porter looked up from her notes. There he was. Her chocolate-eyed boy. He was gorgeous. He was tall and his dark black hair was in his common dreads. Everyday the chocolate-eyed boy came to the library, always sitting in the same spot: second table from the window, third chair from the end. Everyday Mai Porter watched the chocolate-eyed boy and everyday she hoped he might come over and talk to her. But he never did. So instead Mai just watched.

She sighed and went back to her homework. Her loose brown curls fell onto the table. She chewed on her pen and then looked back up at the chocolate-eyed boy. He ran a hand through his hair, making Mai's stomach do a complete somersault.

"Someday," she whispered. "Someday."

Lee Jordan scanned the library, until finally resting on a very pretty girl. There she was. His hazel-eyed girl. She was gorgeous. She was tall and thin. Her skin was pale and freckles dotted her nose. Her long brown hair fell in loose curls around her shoulders.

Everyday the hazel-eyed girl came to the library. Everyday Lee Jordan watched her, trying to build up enough courage to go talk to her. But he never did. So instead Lee just watched.

He sighed and looked at the chocolate-eyed girl. She was working intently, her curls flowing across the table, her pen in her mouth; an obvious ravenclaw. Lee thought of going up to her but the mere thought made his stomach do a complete somersault. He ran a hand through his dreads.

"Someday," he said. "Someday."

Mai finished her work and saw that the chocolate-eyed boy's chair was empty. She sighed, gathered her things, and left the library.

Lee finished his work and saw that the chocolate-eyed girl was still pouring over her books. He sighed, gathered his things and left the library.

Once Lee stepped outside of the library, he realized he had forgotten his Potions book. He turned around to go inside when BAM! He ran right into someone.

Mai's books went flying and she fell to the ground. She groaned and rubbed her head.

The person Lee bumped into fell to the ground. He looked down and saw it was none other than the chocolate-eyed girl.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to knock you over."

Mai looked up and saw the person who had bumped into her was none other than the chocolate-eyed boy. He extended her hand and helped her up.

"Don't worry about it," she mumbled and reached down to gather her books.

"Let me help," he said.

"Thanks," she replied, "I'm Mai by the way."

"Lee."

"Sorry again for knocking you over." Lee said once all of the books were picked up.

"It's no big deal." Mai replied.

"Well, it was nice meeting you, Mai." Lee said.

"It was nice meeting you too, Lee." Mai said.

Mai waved goodbye and headed back to her dorm, grinning like a fool. "I knew it would happen someday," she whispered.

Lee waved goodbye and headed back to the library grinning like a fool. "I knew it would happen someday," he whispered.
