James Sirius Potter took after his namesake and grandfather in many ways. However, it was not he who loved the same girl since the first year. That particular role was filled by his younger brother, Albus Severus Potter.
Though the two boys shared the same dark untidy hair as their father, only Albus had inherited Lily Evans' green eyes.
Kinship and looks were where the similarities ended. Where Albus was quiet and studious, James was boisterous and mischievous.
The Potter family also included a young girl who wanted to grow up and who idolized the older boys and loved them unconditionally. She had the fiery red hair to match her temper. However, Lily Luna Potter was quick to forgive, though she never forgot.
James wanted to have fun, Albus wanted the girl of his dreams to notice him, and Lily wanted an adventure.
But when their father looked in the Mirror of Erised, he saw only himself with a small smile on his face and a lightning scar across his forehead.
