Yoh had always thought that making decisions was easy: just choose one, bear the risk, try to never regret, then he knew he had chosen right.
Until he finally faced the choice to whom he was going to offer his loyalty.
He had been working for Asami for years, and he owed him a lot, his life and even his current position.
He had stayed at Fei Long's side for seven years now, enough time to have his heart stolen without Fei Long even intending to do so.
Had Asami not sent him to watch over Fei Long seven years ago, his choice would have been an easy one.
Not that Yoh ever regretted having fallen for the Baishe leader. He was not one to regret after all.
So Yoh made his choice.
Betraying either of them he risked his life, but he stood by his principles: choose one, bear the risk, never regret. If he was to die, he preferred it to be by Fei Long's hand, not by those of Asami's men.
Did he feel regret? Almost. But he would not allow himself to do so. Because only cowards regretted their decisions.
Deceiving an innocent, he came to care for, Tao. Losing the trust of one he loved made Yoh question whether he had chosen the right thing after all. Seeing how he had hurt Fei Long, though the man never showed it made him feel like a loser.
But then again, those were the risks he had taken. Now he had to learn to live with them.
