Prologue:
Who made me fail my exam?

Sora had always been second best to Riku at everything. Even now, in the final stage of their school exams, Riku had finished with ten minutes to spare. And Sora? Well… Sora still had five more questions to go.
The brunet continued to punch numbers down on his calculator, finding himself feeling more and more frustrated as the solution always came out to .01468257. He knew this was wrong. His mind – or his heart, or whatever – was telling him that it was 1.3578.
And Sora always followed his heart.
As lame and cheesy as that sounded, it was true.
He decided to take a breather – darn evil math problem – and looked around the room. Kairi, it seemed, had finished as well. She was currently humming contentedly to herself, looking as if she had no care in the world. As her eyes locked with Sora, however, she gave him a small smile and a thumb-ups in support. Sora, finding it better to accept it rather than pretend he hadn't noticed, grinned easily in return.
In truth, he was slowly starting to distance himself from the girl. It just wasn't as fun to hang out with her anymore. She only talked about Riku. Riku this, Riku that. Actually, Riku Miyazaki – the newest student of the Junior class – was now the entire talk of the school.
So what if Riku had moved to the prestigious Destiny High with a perfect report card and multiple sports awards already under his belt? So what if Riku was now captain of the basketball and running team? So what if Riku was better at everything than Sora? So what if–
"… Class, your time's up. Come to the front and give me whatever you got, whether it's pretty or ugly." A short pause. "… It's not like I really care anyway."
Shoot.
… So what if Riku had made Sora fail his exam?
Hehehe.

PS: Wow. The prologue's over. This first chapter is more of a teaser. It mainly shows how Sora feels about Riku. I'm going to get this straight: They're NOT lovers / best friends… yet.
Riku: … It's more like acquaintances.
Sora: Pft. You got that right.
PS: I'm always up for any suggestions on pairings. At the moment, I was thinking of Riku/Sora, Leon/Sora, and Axel/Riku.
Riku: She also wants to know whether you want any Organization XIII pairings, too.
Sora: … Or even Leon/Cloud? o-O
Riku: Goddamn. I still can't believe Leon's our math teacher.
