SUMMARY:

What was going through Elliot's mind when he saw Ryan Clifford.

EMOTIONS & REGRETS...

They had chased Gitano through the station. Elliot had stopped to check on Olivia when he saw her fall.

She told him she was fine and repeated, telling him to go after Gitano.

Elliot reached the platform and spotted a crowd. Fin coming toward him telling Elliot he didn't want to see what everyone was looking at.

Elliot saw it though...

Looking at Ryan Clifford he felt...

Confusion, Sadness, Anger and most of all...Regret.

CONFUSED:

Why hadn't Ryan run?
Traumatized is what he had been told. He felt there had to be more to it than that.

SADNESS-

That Ryan's life had been cut far too short...at only nine years old. The boy could have grown up, but now would never get the chance.

REGRET & ANGER -

ANGER:

At Gitano for killing Ryan and then he felt angry at himself, because he had stopped to check on his partner, instead of going after Gitano.

If he would have gone after Gitano...Ryan would still be alive and not laying here.

IF ONLY:

If only he could have gotten there in time...Ryan would be alive.

These were the thoughts that ran through the mind of Elliot Stabler as he looked at Ryan.

The case would go on and they would catch Gitano.

They just had to hope that they could find Rebecca and save her.

They had to hope that her life would not be cut short as her brother, Ryan's had been.

The little girl was going to have a tough life. Losing half of her family and traumatized by everything that was happening.

It was time to get back to work and solve this case. Put take care of the b****** that had done this and destroyed so many lives in the process.

THIS IS A ONE SHOT...ONE CHAPTER.

Actually this is the first one shot I've written in almost a year.

I just caught the episode of Fault again on USA and this just popped in my head. Now I have to get back to work on my other stories.
