"Sakura-chan!" Naruto called to his pink-haired friend. The kunoichi turned around at his call and was met by a bouquet of white flowers. "I picked these for you!" the exuberant blonde explained as Sakura's nose was flooded with the flowery scent.
"Oh Naruto-kun…" Sakura started as she accepted the flowers. "These are beautiful."
"Not as beautiful as you Sakura-chan!"
Sakura smiled as a faint blush dusted her pale cheeks. "Oh Naruto-kun, you flatter me." She leaned forward and pressed a chaste kiss to his cheek. "Thank you Naruto. That was very sweet of you," she said, her white teeth catching the sunlight as the two shinobi stood in the field of delicate flowers.
Naruto blushed bright red at her kiss and glanced at his feet. "Aww thanks Sakura-chan," he mumbled as he grinned at the ground. "You were always so nice."
Sakura turned her head to stare at her feet, her pink tresses concealing her blush. It was an awkward moment for the two ninja as they both gazed at the ground, until their thoughts were interrupted by a loud call from their other teammate, Sai. "Hey lovebirds, get your asses over here!" the raven-haired boy yelled impatiently. "We have a mission to do remember?" Under his breath he grumbled, "I can't believe I got stuck with an old hag and a dumbass."
"What did you say asshole?!" Naruto shouted angrily, leaving Sakura to go beat some sense into their comrade. "Why don't you say that to my face?"
"I can't believe I got stuck with an old hag and a dumbass!" Sai shouted in Naruto's face, making a vein pop in Naruto's forehead.
"I didn't mean literally you asshole!!"
Sakura sighed heavily as she realized what was coming next when there was a cry of pain and a loud thump from behind her as Naruto gave Sai one hell of a punch. Inhaling the heavenly perfume, Sakura buried her face in the flowers and sighed again. Naruto really was sweet, when he wasn't being an idiot. Now why couldn't all guys be like him…?
"Hey Sakura-chan," a soft voice whispered in her ear. Sakura's long eyelashes fluttered open, brushing against someone's nose in a butterfly kiss. "Good morning," Naruto murmured, blinking his bright blue eyes as he gazed into his girlfriend's emerald irises.
"Good morning," she mumbled back, burying her face into his muscular chest.
Naruto's hand floated up from his side and caressed her creamy cheek, tucking a rose-colored lock behind her ear. "What were you dreaming about?" he asked softly, his lips turning up into a grin. "I heard you call someone an asshole."
"Oh nothing, just that one time you gave me those pretty white flowers and Sai being an asshole, as usual."
Naruto chuckled, a deep rumbling that made Sakura's head vibrate comfortably. "He is an asshole isn't he?"
"Yeah," came her soft reply. It was so weird how he always smelled like ramen, even after he'd taken a shower…
Naruto sighed as her breath tickled his chest and let his hands tangle in her hair. "That reminds me Sakura-chan," he said, reaching around behind him and underneath his bed. Bringing his hand back up, he handed his girlfriend a bouquet of white flowers. "Sakura-chan, I picked these for you."
Sakura sighed as took the flowers and flooded her nose with their sweet scent before giving her boyfriend a long, sweet kiss and then pressing her forehead to his. "Thank you Naruto-kun. That is so sweet of you to remember that. They're beautiful."
"But not as beautiful as my Sakura-chan. You're the most beautiful woman in the entire world." Gently he kissed her nose as she blushed. "I love you Sakura-chan."
Sakura nuzzled against Naruto's strong chest, the flowers being crushed between their bare chests. "I love you too."
