Dear Reader Of This Letter,
Is it really worth it? Being a demigod? I don't know. Sometimes, you just can't do it and you feel like running away from everything. The pain, the hate, the quests, the problems, the wars the memories, the losses, the dead ones. And then, there are the good memories that you can only have if you are a demigod. Meeting gods, visiting Olympus, the powers, the instinctual habits, the various abilities, and the uniqueness of your life. If it weren't so hard it might have been enjoyable.
If you are a mortal, you can take it easy and correct yourself and just…..well, I don't know. As a demigod, everything is so spontaneous. You never know when you are going to die. You have to live in the moment. And if you forget to, you end up regretting it for the rest of your short demigod life. The gods aren't everything people tell you they are. Some of them care about their kids and some of them don't. The ones who care are bound by laws. Also the gods and goddesses are immortal. There is nothing spontaneous about their lives. They mistakes with one life and if, emphasis on if, they realize it, they don't bother much and try to never make the same mistake twice. Who cares anyways? Us demigods are just their chess pawns and the earth is just their chess board. The power they get because of the people who believe in them just made them full of themselves.
The wars. These goddamned wars. They are just too much to handle. The fighting and everything scars you physically and mentally. If you lose a warrior, you lose a part of your support system regardless of whether you know the demigod or not. The Second Titan War and the Giant War destroyed us one way or the other. Silena, Beckendorf, Lee, and everybody else who died, died not because of demigods, but to serve the gods and protect them when they should have taken measures long ago. During the Titan War, I had no idea which was the good side and which side was bad. But I fought for the gods because maybe, just maybe, something might change if we won the war. In the Giant War, however, the gods weren't at fault. We fought and we won, but those screams from Cabin 3 will forever remind us of what we are and what we will never be.
With hopes that the reader is not a demigod
Hugs and Kisses To Spread Love,
Anonymous Demigod.
