Sam was mumbling his sleep.
Dean bent to mop his brother's fevered brow pushing wet strands off his forehead.
Sam grabbed his shirt, "Not monster. Not evil. Trust me."
"I do Sammy. I'll always trust you, you're my brother, relax. I gotcha, you're safe," soothed Dean gently pinning the younger boys wrists while trying to calm the nightmare.
Sam started to thrashing, trying to break Dean's hold, "No, no chains, please, don't imprison me," Sam begged
"Hush it's okay Sam, I would never betray you or chain you," how even in a nightmare could Sam believe him capable of that
